WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUVÉDERM® ULTRA & JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS?
Juvéderm is available in two formulations, allowing your healthcare professional the ability to customize your treatment. Juvéderm Ultra provides versatility in contouring and volumizing wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm Ultra Plus is a more powerful formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper wrinkles and folds.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Any healthy individual with no serious medical problems may be a good candidate. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you should not use Juvéderm.
WHAT CAN JUVÉDERM® ULTRA & JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS TREAT?
Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus are especially effective for treating moderate to deep facial wrinkles and folds for a smoother and younger looking appearance.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT LIKE?
Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus are injected under the skin using a fine needle to augment, or fill, the soft tissue of the dermis - adding volume and minimizing moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. No anesthesia is required, although if you are extremely sensitive, an aesthetic cream or an ice pack may be applied prior to your treatment. The procedure is quick and easy - usually about 15 minutes. Discomfort is minimal and there is little to no downtime.
HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?
Patients can expect results for up to one year with Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus hyaluronic acid fillers. Many patients find that having an additional treatment before the product has fully dissipated prolongs the results.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Most side effects are mild in nature, and are generally short in duration (7 days or less). Soreness, mild bruising, swelling and discoloration are the most common side effects.
