Yardy Tse, MD is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a skilled cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Tse received her medical degree at the University of Michigan where she completed the prestigious Inteflex program, an accelerated seven-year undergraduate medical program. She graduated with Distinction in Research and was the recipient of numerous awards and honors.

After completing an internship in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Tse received her dermatology specialty training at New York University where she was honored as Chief Resident. Pursuing her interests in Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery, she then completed two years of specialized fellowship training in Laser and Cosmetic Surgery and Mohs Micrographic Surgery, also at NYU.

A gifted hand in cosmetic dermatology

A member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Tse specializes in laser and cosmetic surgery. She has over 10 years of experience in laser therapy for treatment of wrinkles, age spots, broken blood vessels, tattoos, birthmarks, and vascular lesions. As a member of the American Society for Liposuction Surgery, she is an expert in tumescent liposculpture, the safest and gentlest method for reshaping the body. Other cosmetic procedures in which Dr. Tse has a special interest include sclerotherapy, chemical peels, Collagen, Restylane®, Botox® treatments, and mini face and eyelid lifts.

Thorough diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer

Dr. Tse has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. As a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, she has trained extensively in Mohs surgery, the most precise and effective method of treating skin cancer. By tracing skin cancer microscopically, the Mohs technique spares disfigurement and results in only the most imperceptible scar.

Involved in the medical community

Dr. Tse also teaches dermatologic surgery to residents and medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology at UCSD School of Medicine. She has authored numerous scientific articles and several textbook chapters on laser surgery, chemical peels, dermatologic surgery, and skin cancer. Dr. Tse is also distinguished as an investigator in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Tse maintains staff privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla and Encinitas.

Born in Taiwan, the Republic of China, Dr. Tse is conversant in Mandarin Chinese. She and her husband live in Leucadia and in her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, interior design, scrapbooking, and travel.
